Ok guys, ive cought some kind of virus! After installing my tuner, high flow cat, and thrush welded muffler, i just have to keep going!
I have a few parts waiting to be installed too. (Msd coil, msd plug wires, new ntx O2 sensors)

I think im ready to open up the motor a little bit! Im thinking 1.7 roller rockers, bigger throttle body, etc..... so wheres the best place to get this stuff at?

I need further ideas on mods also!

I would start elsewhere with your mods. I noticed no difference with the 1.7s and a bigger TB isn't going to help you till you open up your manifold and cam or more cubes.
That said if you want to go 1.7s I got small block ford scorpion rollers from summit since they're pedastal mount you may have to clearance your pcv baffels in your valve cover... I went with a thicker felpro gasket.

Well im ordering a completely different manifold soon. Probably a M1 intake. As far as a cam goes, that will have to be a little later on.

It's an expensive bug to have. M1 needs other mods to go with it like the 1.7's. Sct tuner, headers, cam, typical motor build parts. I am not on the bigger tb band wagon, I still use the stock TB on my truck, have a 52mm for it but have not used it in years.

glad to hear you don't believe that bs either. a while back a actually did the math and the stock tb is good to about 400 cubes at 4k rpm.

like merc said though other mods are necessary with a different intake. I would buy it and set it aside till your ready to do it all.

So far ive got on the truck: msd coil, msd 8.5mm super wires, pacesetter shorty headers, k&n drop in filter, thrush welded muffler, running 93 tune, new ntk o2 sensors, and im thinking about removing the cat. Its gotten pretty clogged up and i just cant see spending 150$ on a new one. Any oppose to this?

If you remove the cat you will have to do the non-fouler trick for the rear 02 to stop it from setting a cel.

I saw that. I was just wondering if it will help anything besides having a unrestricted flow. I know its going to hurt bottom end so im jusy trying to weigh out if i should do it or not.

Personally I'd go with a Maggy cat. Only $100 and don't have to mess with non fouler or codes

So today i got my harland sharp 1.7 roller rockers and my m1 intake. I plan on ordering a cam, lifters, springs, and valve seats. What all am i going to need when i take the heads off? As in do i absolutly need to re-ring the pistons if its got really good compression? Also, what cam should i get? Its a daily driver so i dont need anything crazy.

You will be getting into lots all of it.

No you will not be replacing rings unless you drop the crank and pull pistons. You mean valve seals right not valve seats.

Cam is very much dependant on what valve springs you got. .480 is max lift with stock springs, you need to add in the new cam lift when using the 1.7's. .465 is max with 1.7's and stock springs.

You will need to reset fuel sync after the cam is installed, that takes a DRB scanner.
Timing chain and tensioner should be in your parts list.

You need to post up foto's :)

All Mopar performance parts, you can get these from any Dodge Dealer. These will let you run up to a .525 lift cam.

Mopar Valve springs P/N P5249464
Valve Retainer P/N P4452032
Valve Keepers P/N P4529218
Valve Seals P/N P5249661
Roller Lifters P5249862

As you are going with 1.7's you cannot go above .480 lift. There are few cams out there to chose from, post what you are looking for out of it.

Cam and 1.7 rr math for you.

If you want to know how much 1.7's ad to the cam, take the lift of your cam divide it by 1.6 example .587 (Lift) / 1.6 (rocker) = .366875 now take .366875 x 1.7 = .623 <---that's the new lift..... so you go from .587 lift to .623 lift.

.467 with 1.7= .496 ext

.458 with 1.7= .486 int

Im thinking about a comp high energy cam and lifter kit from summit racing. Cam has lift of .454 so end result with my 1.7rr would be .482 lift. And the kit is only about 200$

Good choice on lift, but the price has me wondering if its a roller cam like you need. Post up a link to said cam please.

Not going to work for you sorry. Search under Mopar small block Magnum motor. It will be a roller cam about $300-$500 just for the cam.
