Really? $1000 each for a stock size tire?

I'm really hoping this is a typo in their system. I cannot believe a stock size tire for our RAMs could really be this much.

It says “4” in the unit box bottom right corner. I think that’s a package

Definitely price for 4 and cheaper at tirerack if you're shopping around. Looks like discount has a price match guarantee.

If it was $1000.00 a tire I would be pimpin around on 13in spokes with white walls before I would pay $4000.00 for a set of tires!

I bet when he hits add to cart it will be $3999.99 lol.

I had this happen to my trailer tires, call them. When it says 999 per tire (which it does, that is not price in cart), that is a glitch in their online system. I called when my 45 dollar tire said $999, and said i think your price is wrong he said "does it say 999? That means it's out of stock" He was able to pull from their national warehouse and correct the price to 45 each tire. Done and done!

Nope, says "ea.", next to the 999.00. The quantity box always defaults to 4 on that site.

Yup, see image above for proof.

Thanks, best explanation I've heard yet!

BTW: I'm not looking for tires, I just happened to notice this one while looking out of curiosity at a tire someone else had mentioned.

You're right that Michelin is listed on Tires direct for $999.00. What's strange is there's at least 20 other same size tires that are less then a quarter the price of that particular Michelin. I bet Michelin doesn't sell too many of them. P.S. They all have the the number 4 listed in the cart for every one.

You know what they say... there is a sucker born every minute. Now the real question is how many people have paid that nearly 4K in change for four tires and not even batted an eye at it lol.

That price (~$1,000 for a set of four) is close to what most local shops would charge; I expect that will be the case when I replace the OEM Firestones on my 2500, but that will not be for quite a while yet (only ~6800 miles on them).

I tend to go with the local shops, even if the price is slightly higher (but it is usually close), because there is that implied "front of the line" (or at least "a lot quicker" ;) ) concept. When I needed tires for my Jeep, I found out while on my way home at 5 AM in the rain. Granted, I had almost 30,000 miles on the OEM Goodyears, but figured I would "push them" until Spring. Anyway, I developed a pretty large leak, so I pulled over, pumped up, and headed for the tire shop a mile or so away. By the time I got there a few minutes later, the tire was down from 40 to 15 PSI. Fortunately, Ernie Q., the most excellent tech, was doing some work in the shop prior to opening, and we got the vehicle right in. New (Cooper Discoverer) tires installed within a few hours and good to go. :)

Can't comment...I paid over 2k for a set of 325-60 20 ko2's. Great tires, quiet and ride good...but price still makes my wallet hurt!
