My worry, warranty (factory and MaxCare) is that they will silently note what was done, regardless of what work you come in for (within reason....if they are under the truck and see it, will they note it?)

Then later one could potentially use that note as a reason to deny coverage.....even if you've removed it and gone back to stock.
Agreed. I hate arguing with the dealer service guys. They are not very car smart.

If you are worried about your warranty it's best to find out how mod friendly your service department actually is. If you're in doubt I suggest mingling with some of your local Jeep clubs. If anyone knows about dealers being mod friendly it's Jeep clubs.

Just don't expect to take your modified vehicle in there and expect them to look the other way. I used one dealer for my Jeep's warranty needs. Prior to modding it I'd take it in for service, shoot the **** with my writer, get on a first name basis with the tech. Build up a rapport with them and introduced the idea of the mods I was looking to do. Some monetary tips and a few 6 packs didn't hurt either. And I'm talking mods within reason. If I slapped a pro-charger on it I wouldn't expect any engine warranty. In the end my Jeep is/was heavily modified and they covered all warranty issues without question. They even covered some things they shouldn't have.

Relationships go a long way. I still use the tech to do side work for me.

And there you go...this is how you develop a nice (and beneficial) relationship with a dealer's service department!

Finally installed my kit. -10 an fittings and nylon braid hose.
Running 50 psi hot
Idleing 36 psi hot
Running oil temp went from 212 down to 208 as well original pressure was 54 psi hot running and ~40 psi hot idleing
Also switched from redline 5-30 to PUP 5-30 so idk if that made a difference. A lot cheaper to buy PUP. debating on adding some 0-40 PUP next change in 10,000

let me just say there is a whole lot LESS room on the 4x4 models when it comes to working on the bypass side. FAWWWWWK

The original posters truck Charonblks truck is a 4X4 ,my truck is a 4X4 , i'm failing to see where the differance's between 2X4 and 4X4 would make a difference in relocating the filter. What's this "bypass" you're talking about, there's 2 hoses to the relocation kit "In" and "Out", the bypass should be internal in the filter itself

Mine was 4wd and I had no issue at all I used 90s on all my fittings though so pretty simple to get an AN wrench and tighten

I had a bugger of a time getting the fittings tight on the piece that went on the original filter location.

never heard of an AN wrench until you said it. Probably would have cut my time in half.
