so in my searching for a new ride i am finding a few with the center console in some trucks and others with just the arm rest. what is the package with the console?

The center console is also a stand alone option on certain trims. For your needs, a 1500 diesel sounds ideal. I had that engine in my Grand Cherokee in 2014 and it was beyond stellar.

I would check out a nice 17 Sport with the 5.7 engine. I had a 07 Sport with the 5.7 for 10 years and it was great. But I traded it in for a 16 Rebel and it was a POS. So I got rid of it and now have a 17 Sport and is much nicer than I thought it would be compared to the 07.

Averaging 15mpg in my 2015 hemi crew cab with 8-speed and 3.92 gears. That's mixed city and freeway. But I'm also not real easy on the go pedal, lol.

16 which is like 95% city driving in the cold without it ever being warmed up since I go like 2 miles. I've gotten 23-28 for a trip on highway before at like 60mph. Interstate at 80mph I'll get like 19-21.
