I know! That's what I'm thinking, would like to hear some real world feed back though. According to the website the light bar version doesn't work if you have the active shutters.

That is a great find!!!
At an unbelievable price.
The part that puzzles me is it says it doesn’t fit the Limited Trim, however every other Grille doesn’t designate trim levels.

All 1500’s with 8 sp have active grille shutters but it’s easy enough to remove then

Guys this isn’t a great deal lol. For $400 I get a filler peice of cut aluminum and a $100 light bar if that. You will have to cut your stock grill up and remove the center and such completely, then attach this to your stock grill. Not only do u hack up a nice stock grill, how well the install goes is completely up to the person doing the work lol.

When all is said and done you have effectively covered 3/4 of the front grills open surface and thus I wouldn’t be surprised if your Engine gets alittle warmer than usual. These trucks get all there cooling air through the grill and get none from the bottom air dam. I wouldn’t be restricting it too much. Your better off mounting the light bar below the bumper where it affects nothing and getting a grill that’s one whole peice.

I just ordered a $145 one off eBay and it bolts on, don’t have to mess with my stocker, just remove. I’m not a fan of the kits that require your stocker all hacked up. But if you guys want to spend $400 on it be my guest!

That caught my eye immediately. The finished product looks pretty damn good IMO, BUT. After reading the install instructions as BlackBetty said you have to hack up your stock grill, I'm not about to do that. I want a simple bolt in grill with LED light bar. The install instructions are in the download section of the link.

$145 really? How cheap is the construction? I don't trust too much off flea-bay.

I am considering this one. I don't like the lights in the grille.

I should be ordering it shortly. was waiting for it to be back in stock. I picked up an extra grill for my truck off craigslist for $100 to cut up. I'm going to get some custom powder coat work done on the mesh before install though. if you compare this to other grills with light bars in them (most you have to cut your stock one). its a great price point.

Basically the one I got except its all plastic. It doesn't need to support anything... its just a grille. Not to mention it flows even more air than the stocker so its a win win. A light bar can be mounted behind it with minimal light blockage... but I run two 42" bars in my lower bumper already.

Rigidity is only necessary when your putting something on it like a lightbar... otherwise it just needs to handle air pressure.

WEll see how it works out but Its a bolt in deal so I can always go back to stock if i dont like it. Something you can't do when you hack up the stocker.

The grill is a fairly new product just came out about a month or so ago. It'll be hard to find someone who already has one that will review it for you.

Just because you can make a cheaper alternative does not mean that $400 is not a great deal for this Grill. Most grills are in the 300 (no lights) to $2,000 range (with lights). Try and find a higher quality product for cheaper than $400.

Well we have two different opinions of a higher quality product. Of course u pay for what u get but at the same time doesn’t it make it a higher quality product if it’s cut aluminum? The light bar is a joke most likely ($30-100 on eBay) and your paying for powdercoated aluminum they prob cut out on a water jet ina few min. Then you have to hack up a stock grille to make it work... doesn’t seem like quality to me. Plenty of companies offer real bolt on grills with light bars but they cost $800-$1200 but u pay for what you get. I’d say they are over charging by at least $150 given the cost of aluminum and the bar itself. If it was $200-250 that would be a deal, $400 no thank you. $400 would be a good deal if it bolted on. I mean really it just needs the plastic perimeter part geez.

definitely different opinions. $800-1,200 for a bolt on grill with light bar versus $400 insert with light bar and $100 craigslist stock grill totaling $500 and an hour of my time....ill take the cheaper route.

I personally think the grill looks great.
Fit is ok. The install is a nightmare. Cutting that grill was easy enough, but the grill does not bend easily, so mounting it was a little tricky. The ends don’t fit as great (see pics)

Yea, not bad but you should prob remove and try to form those edges over for a better fit.

^ What he said. Just read the directions on my royalty Core last night and it said drilling and securing the corners first was critical to a good finish. Top to bottom like a backward "Z" starting on the driverside. After corners are secure, do the rest.

I would agree with that statement but your craigslist finds are way cheaper than around me. Your lucky to see one in the $150 range... usually higher. Most people want $100 for just the honeycomb grille inserts. Your $500 grille with all the work is still more money than a $160-$200 Ebay grille that bolts on.
