I have the opposite problem. The previous owner buffed my truck so deep that I have obvious swirls and buff marks around my truck. I didnt see it when I bought it... learning to live with them

They probably can be polished out. There is plenty of info in this section to help guide you through the process. If you have specific questions, ask away. The "golden rule" of scratch and/swirl removal is---always use the LEAST abrasive product first.

Are you referring to my post? I'll get some pictures of it tom. I would love to get rid of the marks but its more then I have dealt with before.

It looks like to me they buffed through the clear coat. I'll get pictures tom, see this is why Texas is my favorite state! Always helpful.

While your putting the pic's together you might want to wander over to "autopia" and do a little research. It is a professional detailers site that has lots of helpful information and products and the detailers also talk about their techniques. They also have lots of videos. You can also look up information about "thickness gauges". You might want to use one to see just how thin your paint is.
