Any ideas on if an upholstery shop could patch a small hole in my seat? Probably about the size of two quarters on the door side of my drivers seat, when i got the truck used the old man who had it slid in and out so it started to chafe and has progressively got worse and worse. Any advice? Thanks

They possibly would, call around. I think what your describing is the seat design flaw. Its starting to happen in mine.

Just replacing the fabric wont fix the issue. There is a seat flaw in the 3rd gens where the frame rails of the seat cuts through the padding and into the seat. Mine is doing that now. Gotta fix the exposed metal piece, replace the foam, and then replace cloth cover or its just going to keep on happening

I think this would be worth a visit to the dealer and a call to Chrysler. They may help you out.

It's happening to mine also is that a issue that the dealer would even care about? I mean my truck is 4 years old now and its just a pain to get the dealer to do any work under my extended warranty.

The extended warranty probably won't cover it but Chrysler may be willing to help out.

I had to buy an entire new piece of foam because of this flaw, costs me $80.
