I hate effing with it, and I've already swirled the paint some more trying to rub it off with my thumb. Not to mention hurting my thumb.

I really need to know the legit REAL way to get this **** off quickly and smoothly.

Here's the offensive, horrible substance, and here's what's not working...adbd256c4530211da02304dc0f967323.jpg8edbb00322810f4b72adaa4e631d2277.jpg705dd0c23ccbc51f791cc4d6be8b282c.jpg3bd5367d9a787819b6e7b4c1435b958d.jpg3c7ade0ee85af9aa4fed29c321a07048.jpgccbbc367e71401f5e46277626ee1a00d.jpgb10d2d235c5f5269012a913e2eeb3b47.jpg58dc90358ac96129b2d02781747f1da2.jpg28d0e80fd2df2ce991e6ecbbae8e3b37.jpg3b0aa7807661f81debcb82dbd6afa54e.jpg

3m adhesive remover has worked well for me when removing that residue. Stupid stick on window deflectors!

I have used this stuff in the spray can before. Still took a bit of elbow grease but way easier than what you're using.

If you have power tools i'd suggest a rubber eraser wheel.

Yeah. And badges. And the door spears. Those are next. I just need something that'll work on 13 year old crap that's been out in the sun more often than not...

Either way, this goof off is garbage, and I not sure which version of goo gone to get. I've also heard of turtle wax sticker remover... Idk. I just want something that seems simple to NOT be false advertising, ya'know?

Would lubricating free wheel with detailing spray help? How else would I be careful with it? Same method as the buffer; don't hold too long or press to hard?

Pretty much, I don’t know about detailing spray though. It kind of relies on friction to remove the adhesive.

Gentle as in don't push hard and let the wheel do the work. Also keep it moving.

I've used an eraser wheel many times and it works great. Just make sure you keep it moving so that you don't burn through the clear coat.

I've never had much luck with GooGone on trim adhesive.

I get most of it off with the 3M Adhesive remover. Then I get out the eraser wheel. If you see a dirt line remaining it will probably require some light rubbing compound and a buffer to get it out of the clearcoat.
