OK guys and gals, I need to buy new shocks for my truck and would like to hear everyone's opinions on and/or experiences with Bilstein 5100's and Rancho RS9000XL's please. Thanks in advance for your input.

We have different trucks, but I have tried both bilstein hd (just like 5100 series) and rancho 9000's. I went from stock shocks to ranchos, to bilsteins in the life of my truck. The ranchos were slightly stiffer then the bilsteins, making bumps less noticable. However, I really like the bilstein shocks I currently have installed. They are just perfect.

I ordered from eshocks because of their low prices, and this is a job you can easily do yourself if your interested.

I haven't had experiences with either, as I am still running stock shocks, but in my years on the forums, I have seen that Bilsteins were usually what the majority of people would run.

I've only used Rancho RS9000X (still what's on my truck). Some folks say the Bilstein do it all good, so I'd love to try them, but it's hard to give up the adjustability that I have with the Ranchos. Smooth when I wanna cruise and nice and firm when I'm towing the ATVs on rough roads at the push of a button.

I run the 5100's and will never run anything but them again . They are that good , and for a heavy truck like ours (mega) they fit the bill .

OK, I'm going with Bilstein 5100's. I was ordering tonight and noticed a "special/warning" note that read the compression bump stop might need to be modified to avoid damage to the shock.

Anyone with Bilstein 5100's on a lifted/leveled truck have this issue?

^ Thanks Dave. I'm also gonna go ahead a put a 1" block in the rear...needs a slight pick-me-up after the level in the front.

^ That's the kit I'm buying. I will check out there shock pricing. So far, shockwarehouse is the best price I've found. $360 for 4 shocks and a stabilizer...that's free shipping and a 10% discount (if the code is still valid).

TGC will beat that . I haggled with them and they price matched . AND make sure who ever you call for shocks make sure they have them on hand and in stock !!! These shocks are hard to get .. when I was looking for them it took me 2 months to get them .. Shock warehouse was back ordered 3 months

Bilstein 5100 shocks, TopGunCustomz dual steering stabilizer with Bilstein 5100's, and 1" block and U-bolt kit all on order for the truck.

Damn, that was fast! Just got tracking info that my shocks will here tomorrow. But, TopGunCustomz told me my order will within 7-10 days...apparently they make the blocks and stabilizer brackets after ordered. Bummer! My shocks will be anxiously awaiting their arrival.
