Looking for front and rear shocks for my 2002 1500 4x4 non lifted truck. I had searched for Bilstein 5100 and can't find them. Recommendations including part numbers would be greatly appreciated.

I recommend the bilstein but I’m shocked you can’t find them second from there are fox shocks those are really good as well. Try eBay you shouldn’t have a hard time at all finding them there

5100 shocks aren’t available for the early 3rd gens, the ones with the torsion bars. You need to get the 4600 for the fronts b61dc231230ace1068dc85781e76d858.jpg

Would the recommendation then be for 4600 front and rear or 4600 front and 5100 rear, and are these Bilsteins (4600) better than say Monroe or KYB or Rancho for instance.

Mine feel good but I haven’t had any of the other brands to compare them to.

From my experience I’ve had many brands bilstein is a very long lasting product compared to others.

I gotta pick up a set of bils for the back of my truck. Maybe when it’s in the garage getting rebuilt I’ll swap them out

I’m wondering if the 5100’s are better shocks then the 4600’s, or just for a different application

I use Gabriel Ultra's on my street vehicles because new shocks are better than old shocks, basically. I don't need them for any performance applications so I don't spend up just to have the 'best' shock. It's contrary to a lot of opinions, but my budget pretty much speaks up for me most times. I just put Gabriel's on my 10 year old Durango with worn out OEM shocks, and the difference is night and day.

A little off-topic but I'm looking for some Bilstein front shocks and I'm not sure which kind will fit a RCSB 2x4 without any lift.
