Since my ram is my first truck, I don't know much about how my suspension should feel comfort wise. Most of the trucks I've driven have all been work truck, and my brothers trucks both had the air bag suspension in them for higher weight capability so they rode like bricks. So what shocks are a good idea to upgrade to for a more comfortable ride? I'm sure mine still has original shocks. It's an 03 4x4 with the torsion bars

Bilstein 5100 shocks are most recommended around here.

Aren't they used mainly for leveling purposes? Or are they just that good of a shock? Also how necessary are replacing the rear shocks?

That's just their adjustable strut. They're a really good quality shock. I went with a cheaper option, but wish I hadn't lol. Rear shocks are pretty cheap. If yours are old, you might as well get new.

If Bilstein makes a 5100 for your application I would highly recommend them. I have them on my 14 1500 and I love the way they ride. I have used Bilstein for years and I have never not been satisfied. I run them on my Corvette for Autocross as well and they perform flawlessly. They are a quality shock for a decent price.

Yea I recommend the bilsteins as well. Got them on all 4 corners of my truck and it rides great.
