Shocks question

Hey guys, I've searched and searched to find the correct size for my shocks, but I just can't seem to find them. I've heard that they are wider but not taller: Is that true? What size shocks do I need for my stock Off-Road Edition, and what brands do y'all recommend?

That sounds about right. While the ORE trucks were 2 inches taller, I've never heard anything about the shocks being longer, just a larger diameter to hold more fluid. A quick check of Rockauto seems to confirm this.

So what size would I order when I decided to switch shocks? Because so far, all the shocks online for 2001 Rams say w/o Off Road Package.
