I posted this project this spring when I was building it, however, I thought I would share this video. The entire suspension, brakes and axles were swapped from two different one ton vehicles.

My Home Built Dually

Its my daily driver, and not meant to be a show truck. Yes it was painted outside, I realize that's not the right way to do it...

Total cost to do the upgrade was $2,300 including the 5.7 Cummins Turbo Donor Vehicle.

I do realize I could have just bought one. I did this because I ENJOYED IT

wow lots of work there. only thing you should have done was get it professionally painted to give it the stock/custom clean look

Really cool! Once I'm done with school I wanna build a reg cab short bed dually 3rd gen. I love the way mega cab dually flares look and now that I've seen a long bed with them I was let down. I think it would make a pretty cool drag truck

Thanks for the comments... I painted it myself,

1 I wanted to learn
2, It gets used, I didn't want a princess truck, I wanted a tough truck to pull my bobcat. It's going to get abused, and I don't care about what anyone else thinks
3. Im quite happy how it turned out.

As far as mpg it actually went up with the lower gear ratio combined with 19.5 semi tires that ride at 110 psi. Way better than my mud tires I had .
