I just ordered a Griots clay for glass. I have used Cirum Oxide in the past too but its all dependent on your tool too ( I used a Dremel)

Do you complete one panel at a time? Or do you do one step over whole car followed by the next one?

How many towels did you ruin the first time? 8/15 towels were pitch black and grey by the time I was done.

Interesting... sounds as if you have single stage paint
Machine wash and use as shop towels, door hambs, wheels or for applying tire dressing if they do not clean up to your liking

Thanks for the compliment! If you ever have questions I'll do my best to help you out!

Nice work, looks really good...
I need a dedicated polisher for my brush attachments I use cleaning/scrubbing heavily soiled floor mats. Did your HF da come with a 5" or 6" backing plate?

EDIT: No need to reply, I just finished researching the polisher. It has the same standard size threaded shank for swapping different size backing plates. Going to wait and see if it goes on sale again before pulling the trigger. I have 3 polishers now but I do see several uses for this unit.

Below is a link to a thread with mods for owners of the HF DA Polisher

Just gave my truck another wash, it's about time for me take round two of paint correction on her. She doesn't bead very well and it's been around 6 months, so I'll give it another go after my vacation. But still still has a good shine!

Have you gone to the hospital to visit your roommate yet?

His rent increased for the month...

Especially the utility bill...

And the amount of money I had to put in the swear jar...Which isn't all bad as I now have more money for supplies to buy. :roflsquared:

Here's an update for everyone. I decided to give the Aerospace 303 a shot. So here we go.

I0mvKog.png

Difficult to see in this picture, but the windshield trim was badly faded.

First things first. I used a hog haired brush with Chemical Guys APC diluted 4:1. Spray and agitate.

Spray off with water and let dry. You have to use the product sparingly. Due to the difficult spot of this trim piece, I just applied to the rag and worked in sections. All in all, came out pretty well.

Well as you guys saw with my hood scratches, I decided to break out the pads and go to work.

Can't really see, but this is before.

After 101 and orange. Pardon the dust, it was dusting like a mother...

After 205 and white.

Finished up with Griots sealant and Colinite.

Not bad for 18 year old paint.

Looks great!!!! Also I think you'll like that 303. I've been using that for quite a while now and am really happy with the results. You need to lock your room mate out of the garage! :naughty:

Thank you sir! I'm really impressed with the 303 for sure. I'm going to put another coat on tomorrow. The roommate came back and saw my car spotless and asked if he could use my products, not gonna happen lol. Told him I'd sell him my pads and Harbor Freight DA so i could but a PC with smaller pads, but he wasn't having that haha.

Beading after a wash. Not bad, not great either. I'm thinking another coat of colinite wouldn't hurt anything!
