As everyone is mentioning, true duals with the right size pipe wont hurt low end or anything. Utilizing an X pipe or, as I did with my Commander, get a dual inlet/dual outlet muffler with built in x pipe to help with back pressure with 2.5" pipes.

Okay so going with that statement a single inlet/ dual outlet muffler won't that achieve the same result as a single inlet/single outlet muffler. Because of the single inlet forgive me if this sounds stupid just trying to learn everything

Single in/dual out will be in the middle somewhere between the single in/single out and duals.

Just out of curiosity, anyone know what the stock tubing diameter is for the 03 1500?

Should be 3 inch into muffler. I put on a spintech 9000 and dumped it before the axle and it sounds great at WOT but is quiet at cruising speeds with barely any drone.

If that’s too loud you can always reduce it to 2.5 coming out of the muffler

Awesome! Thanks. I’ve read that the hemis were engineered pretty well, so I just wanted to add a muffler (magnaflow, etc) instead of an entire catback system and save a few hundred bucks. Thanks again.
