What do I have to do to put a plow on my truck? 2001 Ram 1500, new to the snow business. Want to put a setup on my truck. I believe it's a 5" lift. 35" tires. 4X4. Help!! Want to do it soon!!

Bolt the mounts up and go. Wire it in and everything. You'll just have to run with the plow lower i would think

You'll have to measure the stock brackets to make sure you will have enough travel on the plow, you will want at least 2in of travel below the distance on flat level ground. Otherwise if the maximum travel barely brings the plow into contact with the ground, as soon as there is a dip, the plow won't be able to drop into it until the front tires do.

If you cant get enough travel, look around for kits that supply plow drop brackets or mounts. There are plenty of lifted trucks with plows, aside from the possible need for drop brackets, everything is the same as on a normal truck. Just make sure you put the electrical solenoid someplace it can get airflow over it.
