Spent about 8 hrs detailing the outside of the truck. Wash, clay, wash again, polish, then wax. I think it looks pretty awesome. I was chasing daylight, so a couple things didn't get done, like full detail on the wheels, and I didn't have time for tire shine before the pictures. I also didn't use my polarizer, so the windows look like crap. the last shot is so you can see how nicely things reflect in the paint

I had 2 or 3 friends on FB ask me the same thing. These things have ****ton of metal to clean and polish!

My son pointed out the chrome lug nuts, and said I need black. Good thing Christmas is just around the corner. I just bought some 5 inch exhaust tips, too, and will powder coat those black. I've also got a swap lined up for the honeycomb grille for my chrome slat version. I'm almost there!

Next year or next big windfall of cash is for the level kit.

haha, yeah it is a little chilly, would be waste of time and money to do all that this time of year here.

we'll be there soon enough, which is why I wanted to do it now. Get a coat of wax on it for some protection.

Jay, I really wanted a beer but didn't have time for it. I'll celebrate tomorrow.

Fire, the dealership did a nice job buffing it before I bought it, so I just did a light buff and wax.

Thanks all. It's been a while since I had a vehicle I cared enough to take care of. I sold my Porsche 3 yrs ago. I cared about that one a lot too. My Chevy Malibu not so much.

amen to that, my show truck gets an machine applied wax/sealant application before each show, and the compound i use removes all micro swirls or any imperfection that you may have gotten since your last one, that alone is usually an 8 hour process

to the OP, detailing is an addiction so be careful, lol, but the truck looks great!
