What gears would I look at upgrading to? Would it be the 4.11's. I went on to RockAuto and it seems that the next step up is 4.11's but I figured I would stop by here to ask first.
Thanks

If you're stock height with stock tires, your factory 3.92s should be fine. For a little more pep those gears would work. Anything more could be considered overkill if you're not running 37s or even 35s. High power street performance is also a reason to go to a numerically higher gear. Lots of guys here run 4.56s. Remember that gas mileage suffers on the highway with numerically higher ratios. Takes higher rpms to maintain highway speeds.

Well, the ones I have have started to "whine". Was told that they are wearing down. Plus living in Colorado, I would like to get rid of all the "shifting all over the place" going up and down the inclines.

If you never do straight (level) highway driving you will love 4.56s

But first question, are you 2wd or 4x4? If 4x4 you have the same ratio gear front and back.

I am only Two wheel... I am thinking that I will just go with the 4.11's. I do quite a bit of level driving BUT at times when we do go up into the mtns, I would like to not have as much shifting around.

Have you thought about the differnt transmission tune options availble? That and a better torque converter i bet youll fly up the hills in a single shift!

You could just put it in tow/haul and it'll help if it bothers you that much.
