I have a 2015 sport with 22k miles on it. Id be willing to send out my OEM chrome bar inserts to someone with the black mesh inserts after they send me theirs.

Occasionally there is someone selling the black honeycomb inserts on here. I bought from a member here then sold my sport inserts for quite a bit more...

To anyone that has shipped the inserts, what was the weight? I'm lining up a swap and would like to know the shipping cost. Also, what size box did you use?

The replacements I have ordered are supposedly 7lbs according to ups. Idk about box size.

I'm on my way now to swap mine out with a guy with a 2016 R/T. He wanted the chrome grills as everything on his truck is chrome, and I wanted the black as everything on my truck as black, so it worked out perfect.

Damn, that looks great. There are only 3 things on my copperhead sport that are chrome. These grill inserts, the lug nuts, and the exhaust tips. Black spike lugs are on order, the carven black tips will be on order..... these grill inserts gotta go!

From the time it was new, I could not understand for the life of me why they would factory install chrome grill inserts on a black out special edition sport yet gove the lesser express version the nice black honeycombs..... smh

Right? The tips are another thing.....is it really that hard for them to offer them in black? I know where I live in Canada, they sell a whack of blackout trucks in all ranges from 1500-3500

Yeah, only things left with chrome on them on my truck is fog lights (Morimoto fogs pre-ordered), and a little bit in my wheels (working on 24" ones).

I have a buddy that powder coats. I'd love to stumble on some cheap tips I could give him to go black. Ideally, they would be the 5 inch tip variety, not the stock size. Then lug nuts, too. I haven't looked at fogs. I guess I'll need to see what up with those.
