The insert says ABS+PC on it in the middle. The stuff I'm using is a plastic epoxy. I sanded down both mating surfaces to ensure it got good grip.
I have uses that type of stuff before on models. Also I used a similar chemical to weld plexiglass together. It works good. But I wouldn't trust it to the insert. When I used it on models, most time I could easily pry it apart with little effort.

I'm also going to be trimming these down and epoxying in some threaded rod so that it can bolt it down to the hood. Needless to say, when I'm done with it, this bitch ain't coming off! Haha

You do realize that this is the perfect time to create a new custom mod. Put a 6"-8" LED light in there. If I had a sport hood I would've done it to those "vents".

That's great! I think I might do that! Plus some underhood lights for when I'm working.

Yeah I want to start as soon as possible. What color should I do behind the insert and grille? I was thinking blue.

I wouldn't recommend blue unless you plan to use it only when stationary. Might get some heat from the police.

In that case I'll do flashing blue and red haha. No, I'll usually only turn them on while I'm parked.

Ok, then blue is safe. I was thinking more functional than show. White LED hidden in the hood. Sharp night light.

Who says I can't do both? Haha
Epoxy is setting on the threaded rod. So I'll be bolting it down, and putting silicon around the edges.
