Just thinking about the rumours of Srt coming out with a Ram based model like they had with the SRT10 using the Viper motor. Wondering what engine they would use, I come across an "off the shelf " Fiat (Maserati) motor that they are already mating to the 8 speed. Check out the specs here http://www.allpar.com/cars/adopted/maserati/2013-quattroporte.html
I think a twin turbo V8 at 523 HP and 479 lbs torque from 2000-4000 RPM would make a great SRT8TT truck even without the overboost torque of 524 lbs.
The V6 twin turbo would also be interesting in a truck with 404HP and 406torque from 1500-5000 RPM. The future could get very interesting... Not really unrealistic considering the Quadroport started on a lengthened 300 frame and knowing how Maserati and Chrysler have worked together in the past. Or would they use the new 6.2 supercharged? SRT8S?

TT ram sound good to me. The v6 I can see in later production models like the ecoboost. We can call it pen a boost

With how our the Hemi loves to rev anyway, a TT would be amazing, and not make traction a nightmare off the line like the linear power a supercharger may (w/o even more electronic nannies)

According to some knowledgeable allpar posters, it's getting the Hellcat 6.2 SC Hemi.

A centrifugal isn't like a roots....very similar characteristics to a turbo as far as power delivery.

I'd say they would probably use the 392 or the 6.2 supercharged coming up. Doubt they would put a maserati(ferrari) motor in a ram due to high maintenance and repair costs plus expensive motor cost

Does it provide boost a little quicker than a turbo because it's belt driven, not exhaust driven?

CSC's do not lag like a turbo does, CSCs are simply RPM driven and add boost according to RPMs. When you hit it with a Novi2k, you will be into the boost instantly.. just not max boost because they are a belt driven blower.

CSC actually compress the air, roots blower just speeds it up... the boost of a Roots blower is the "backup" of air in your LIM. The CSC actually compresses the air and the air coming out of it is actually denser. (IE, doesn't just speed it up)
CSC is a turbo with the turbine wheel cut off, and a pulley instead (with gears and stuff to spin the compressor wheel up to the proper speed)

Roots blower have a lot of boost leak (air that goes back into the blower from the lim) which makes it heat up quicker.
