Steering squeal

I don't know if anyone is still monitoring this thread, it's about 9 months old, but I have the same issue. I get a slight squeaky noise when I turn the steering wheel. It sounds like rubber rubbing against something. It sounds like it is coming from the steering column. It's not loud, but it's annoying.

I just purchased this 2007 1500 RAM 4.7 four days ago and didn't notice this during the test drive.

Welcome. I forgot to update this thread that I found the issue. I took it to the dealer, and they found a shield under the truck that had fallen and was causing the noise. I'm not sure what the actual term for it is though. They called it a shield.
