My Buddy on his 13 Express just got dyno'd and is claiming 332 RWHP and 350 Ft/lbs... he is sending me the dyno sheets and video. ALL stock... Ohhh his was on a cool 65% night and on 93 gas... not sure if that makes a difference, for what its worth ive never known him to lie... we will see when I get mine done.

A dyno can be adjusted to play with numbers to make customers happy.

If it was a true 330+ whp
...he should be able to back that up with a 13 second track slip.

As Ethan said, A Dyno is a tuning tool, real results are track proven.

BRH you're truck would greatly benefit from 4.10s, no need for the 4.56s with the blower.

I think you may be right, the key is keeping out of low rpm's just before the traps.
Right now with 3.55's my truck is totall falling on its face (stock shift points)
long before the traps and it's kind of sad seeing my boost gauge at 3-4 psi for the last 300 feet
when I know it "could" be 7-8 psi if my rev's were up to 5k+

When I was NA I could hit 98.5 mph, (6400 rpm shift points)
with the supercharger I'm almost a second faster but my trap speed is only 101 mph

I'm getting decent launch and a pretty good 60'
but after the half way mark I know my gears are holding me back.

I need a rear locker anyway so a gear swap is going to happen soon.
too bad its going to be almost as much as I paid for my Ripp kit.

I'm a bit worried 4.56's may be too low for my 28" DR's
...I think you're right in the sweet spot with a 31" tire and 4.56's

I wish there was a 4.30:1 available right between 4.10's and 4.56's
If 4.10's are not low enough I'd be pissed, and if 4.56's are too low I'll have to replace all 4 of my DR's for a taller 30"-31".

decisions :insane:

Wouldnt some 305/50/20's and some 4.56's be close to the 4.30 ?

I have 305/50R20's (my street tires) with 3.55's, runs 13.37

When I swap my 295/45R17 DR's on I'm about 4.30:1 (runs 13.1's)
but the last half of my quarter is hurting at way under peak boost levels, rpm's too low at the traps

4.10's would help, 4.56's may be too much
the hard part is a wrong guess is going to cost me a new set of gears/install
...or a new set of DR's

Because of your blower right?

Not really, If you hit an OD gear at 3000 rpm long before you reach the traps
you're bogging your way to the finish line under-boosted at low rpm on an overdrive gear.

Ideally (IMHO) you want to be in 1:1 gear ratio at 5600 rpm at the finish line

My plan was to run 25-26" slicks. That ***** woulda pull hard out of the hole with some spray.

We'll see when greychevy throws down a run on 28" DR's

IIRC, Karateman didnt gain much when he went from 3.92's to 4.56's with his Magnacharged CC on 28" Slicks.

So maybe Tyler's got it right,
4.10's just may be the best gears for a 28" tire

some diggin turned up this post

My goal is to get into the 11's without nitrous. There is still some playing to do with tuning. Also I am putting my 3.92's back in today, I feel like the 4.56's and 28" tires are too much.

Ok but what about 31's? Assuming i run in full street trim, 20" wheels, 31" tires?

You'd still be trapping under 5k RPMs with 4.56s and 31" street tires. You're gonna have a hell of a time launching it though. Main thing to remember is staying out 4th gear(5th gear in autostick) and above 5k at the traps.
