Here are pics of the swaybar end and Spohn adjustable panhard rod. As I said before when you get the rear end adjusted to center be sure to put red locktite on the locking nuts or they will come loose and your rear end will move back and forth. The change I made to the rear swaybar made a big difference to the handling, better turn in and cornering.

I never thought I'd like a little rake, but on QC/CC's, I think they need a little and 2" in the rear looks awesome!

This is exactly how I want to do my truck. How is the ride with the 2/3 drop? Any issues with the 4WD?

Even though im getting new bilstein shocks to increase my front heigh...that rear rake is a killer like everybody says.

but in honest truth... im liking a litle regular cab w/hemi that has a drop to it... kinda sexy with the right tires .( dont like smaller tires) good thread guys.

What lowering options do i have for a 4x4?

I have a 2010 Ram 1500 Sport 4x4 that I want to lower 2/4. Can I use McGaughy's kits? And if so, Should I go with springs or spindles in the front?

The only kit that I know of that will lower a 4x4 is the kit from ground force and its a 2/3 drop kit.

You can lower a 4wd with the McGaughy's spindle kit. It does put more angle on the upper ball joint and you may have CV joint issues. I have issues, but that may be becuase I'm also running the 2" GF drop springs.

This is interesting! What were your measurements with just the ground force kit? What are your measurements now running the McGaughy's spindle kit and ground force springs? What year is your truck? Did you have to modify the spindles in anyway? Sorry for all the questions...just very excited to see this :head3:.

It's an '09, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else go this low unless they're willing to spend the $$ to do it properly. I did everything all at once; I was waiting for a new engine tune after I did my engine swap and s/c install and I was paying for the lift by the day, so I figured I had to make hay while the sun was shining.

I'm now 4" down in the front with the spindles and GF springs, and I used the 2wd rear springs from the Mc'G kit with a set of 2wd Belltech shocks, so it's about 6" in the rear, it's currently got the oem bumpstops jammed so far into the mount it's not funny, notch kit should be arriving on Monday.

I didn't see a need to take anything out of the spindle as I haven't seen any contact and clearance looks good, but I'm keeping an eye on it since others say they had to take a bit out of the backside. I've had the one CV pulled since I destroyed the inner joint but the truck has only been moved around, never really driven so far.

I'm correcting the upper balljoint issue by installing MMW upper control arms that run a uni-ball joint, but I'll be keeping an eye on my alignment incase I need to get a custom set built with adjustable arms. And I'm trying out the Kore high angle inner CVs to see if they'll hold up before I'm forced to get a custom set of CVs shafts built.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you have a build thread going? What kind of motor swap are we talking about? :worthy:

I'll be doing my build thread shortly. I've got one running on another forum, but I can't access that forum from work anymore.

The perfomance basics are a PWR VVT 349cuin block with a 6.1L crank, manley rods and pistons, ARP 2000 main studs, running 9.6CR. Ported eagle heads, ARP head studs, 6.1L intake manifold (this may change to a 6.4L SRV manifold), -8AN billet fuel rails, return fuel system with A1000 FPR, Walbro 400 pump, P1SC (D1SC will go in next spring) with 2.87" pulley (~12-15psi), custom FMIC, N2O Outlet nitrous plate with a Zex kit, and a L&M trans. Dropped 4/6 with GF and McG's kit, Spohn adjustable control arms and panhard bar, Belltech shocks, and stock 3.92LSD. Tuning is by Josh at HHP. It's still a work in progress.
