Im all over the place lol. I change my opinions of my truck about 3 times a week lol. If only I could have 2 trucks at the same time. one lifted, and one lowered my problems would be solved lol.

The thought of a 2'' rear drop, Pan Hard Bar, Sway Bars, Shocks, 305/50/20 tires... OH LAWD !

Will you need anything extra thats not included in the Groundforce 9983 kit for the 4x4 reg cab rams?
I see people posting about sway bar end links and track bar relocators.. is it needed or just suggested?

Not needed. If you're going for the 100% optimal scenario then you will forever be making changes but if you just want the 2/3 drop then you're just fine with the GF 2/3 kit. The front sway bar end links are like $8 each and level the front sway bar for 'best' results but without the angle is just bigger and it just results in not being able to corner 'AS' fast, difference would only be about a 5mph difference due to body roll.

Same thing for the panhard bar relocation bracket, it just reduces the side-side loading on the rear control arms as the suspension cycles up and down which will make the bushings last longer.

Just wondering how you guys feel about this. We all know the gf kit is pretty expensive for a cold spring lowering kit and it's a 2/3. Its been killing me to find a different option. So I called gf to see how much they would sell the front springs for since the back ones can be used from any other kit on the market. They told me 225 for front coil springs. So I'm going to buy the front springs and then buy the belltech 4in springs for the back that comes with the end links for $150. So that is 375 for a 2/4 without shocks. Not bad imo. Shocks are relatively cheap and you have the option to buy whatever shocks you want. $375 compared to $8xx is awsome.

It's how I went about doing mine, a lot better IMHO because you can get the shocks that you want.

If $899 is the best price you found, you didn't look very hard.

The GF 9984 regularly goes on sale, with everything you need including shocks
on amazon.com for $499 Shipping included anywhere in continental U.S.

Just checked and it's currently on for $629

I save enough money on DIY for all my mods to splurge the extra on quality parts/components :p

How is buying the spring separate being cheap? It's smart shopping imo. Your buying the product that is built and intended to be used on your specific truck just buying it separately. It just shows you how much they are overcharging for some coil springs. Paying $375 for a lowering kit that is intended for your truck or you can spend 6xx-8xx on a kit. Who wouldn't want to save the money and have the drop they want, the shocks they want and is STILL cheaper.

After you spend another $100-$150 on shocks

The difference is not $375 vs $900

its only $100... ($375+$150 vs $629)
and for those that bought the GF kit for $500 by shopping around
....you saved almost nothing

I have an Engineered Matched set of

$100 is $100 .. I mean why not save it if you can.that could go towards a catch can or tb. Your also getting a 2/4 drop instead of a 2/3 and possibly better shocks if you choose. I've yet to see a gf for 500.

My 2/3 GF kit actually measured out at 2/4
...as you can see in the pics it sits dead level,
and I've had no issues with GF shocks after almost 5 years.

Also DIY installed (including strut tamer)
at my bro's bodyshop for nothing in about an hour and a half

Compared to $2k+ 6" lift kit suspension systems I've installed
on several Jeeps and various 4x4's ....$500 was a Bargain !!!

Yeah its much better. I was debating lifting with bigger tires but I got to thinking of the hassles that come with it. I also love racing and go in to the track so yeah. What's the best times you'vegotten in yours?
