Hey all,, I'm new here,, I just bought a 2014 4x4 Tradesman, Reg Cab, Long bed, 5.7 Hemi, I'm going to drive it as is until the snow melts then it will be time to make it "my own",,, I'm planning on a set of 22" rims and nothing less than a 2-3 drop... Ive been reading about several options for lowering and just like others on here I'm looking for opinions.. I don't want to do anything that would limit towing capacity and I still want to be able to haul 6-800lbs in the back without any problems... please share your thoughts about what looks good, rides good and still performs as a truck....

Thanks; Jeff

Anyone else with pics of a GF kit installed on a crew cab? Are you guys seeing only a 2/3 or a bit more drop in the rear as I've read a few guys say its closer to 4''?? Thanks in advance..

When I installed the GF kit my rear ended up being 3.25" lower and the front settled to about 1.8"

I did intsall some helper bags to soften the ride a bit.

Ok,,, I've been reading and it sounds like it's down to two options,, the McGaughys Part# 44050,, or the Ground Force Kit #9983,,, I know one is less money than the other but what difference does that make if your not happy with the finished product,, I don't like how the McGaughys kit reqires the rear bump stops be cut off, and I "think" that the Ground Force kit should have a rear track bar relocate bracket.... Please share your thoughts...

The McG's kit is a 2/4 drop and the GF is a 2/3 drop so you still maintain a bit of rake with the GF kit. Trimming down the bump stops isn't a big deal at all, they stick out of the bracket 3.5" so it's not like you'd be losing much by trimming them down 2". You definitely want them cut down or you'd only have 1.5" of travel before you'd hit them which is very uncomfortable for daily driving.

Just did the ground force kit on mine and couldn't be happier with the results.

Went ahead and dropped the back of my QC this afternoon. 30 minutes tops. Going back to 20s this summer.

Chopped the rear. I woke up this morning and wanted the rear down. I will be ordering 2" drop springs in a few weeks. Just got bored and didn't feel like waiting

OK guys finally got some pics of the drop done. I don't have starting measurements but I can say this. I love the tiny bit of rake I get from the 2/3 drop compared to just 2" in the rear. First pic is just 2" and second is the 2/3 drop.View attachment 46859
