or an old chevy 350 in a pre smog truck?

Same architecture in that 6.6 as the 350, based on that small block.

Smog is what it is, I don’t live somewhere that does emissions testing so I’m not worried about it too much.

good info on mopar part number stamp, but I'm pretty sure we have oem lifters and they are ticking? Funny about some of the execution of the designs? I like this video Corey good find, you gonna try those lifters, which ones? Stock non mds hellcat lifters, so fca had the answer all along but just didnt use it?

When Corey finds a video they are must watch tv.

Ha thanks

Yeah IDK if I end up having to do that I might go with those Comp Cam lifters because they have the extra oiling hole. Plus they're a linked bar lifter so it virtually eliminates posibility of the lifter turning in the bore...

Will the new Apple Car be a Mopar?

The report said it remains unclear who would assemble an Apple-branded car, but sources have said they “expect the company to rely on a manufacturing partner to build vehicles.”

If Apple discovered a problem like, I don't know, warping headers, lifters, etc., they would fix it. Pronto. I've used Apple stuff for years and it works.

If my daughter buys one, I'm going to slap a "HEMI" sticker on it....

I don’t think Apple would put out a car and have fca build it for them. Apple has too high a standards to use mopar junk.

If you did that to it the value would drop by at least half.

I know the SBC is legendary to many folks, but cam failures were a thing for many years, and it was not just the 305. I saw lots of 350s with "round" cams, and owned a 454 BBC that coughed up a cam.

Oh yeah, 100%, but they eventually fixed that problem and when you think about legendary engines, the pushrod small block Chevy is hard to beat.

yeah that is BRUTAL, but at least they have a dipstick, 19-20 minute mark. I think I'd be doing fluid only if I had that, nice to have that option.

I wonder why he didnt suck some fluid out instead of drain like that.

So doing research on this new 6.6 GM Gasser. They built a Oil Separator into the intake manifold, like a built in Catch Can.

That’s crazy. I’m not even sure I understand how they did that, but I’m trying to find a diagram.

I guess GM realized there was a need for it after all this time lol

So does it have to be emptied does it just dump back into the engine?
