I have a 99 1500 Club cab SLT Laramie 5.2 RWD that has 159000 miles on it. I just put Super 44 Flowmaster muffler on it and just put new plugs and plug wires on it. The power windows work but the power locks dont and I had to jerry rig a horn button on the dash. I love my truck and love that its paid off and everything works mechanically. I cant help but feel like its a dog. It feels sluggish and I feel like I might enjoy a truck with a better engine and more options for upgrades.
I found this 08 1500 with a 5.7 4x4 Quad Cab with 159000 miles as well for $14,900. These are the options on it.
● Air Conditioning
● Power Windows
● Power Locks
● Power Steering
● Tilt Wheel
● AM/FM CD
● AM/FM CD/MP3
● Satellite
● Sentry Key
● Alarm
● Daytime Running Lights
● Dual Front Air Bag
● Active Belts
● Crew Cab
● Regular Bed
● All Wheel ABS
Any input and opinions are welcome.

personally i think that is a little too expensive for a truck with 160k miles on it. And with it being lifted the motor and trans have had more stress put on them over the miles. I personally think the truck looks good but IMO not worth 15k

I couldnt agree more. If I were you I'd get your current truck, as long as it fits your needs, running to notch and go from there. But, if you're adamant on trading in I'd try to find a more stock truck and customize it yourself. That way at least the previous owner(s) may not have beat it. Anything lifted you should think of the fact that the POs may have used it off road. And if so how hard did they run it?

I got my 06 RCSB 5.7 4x4 at 99,788 miles for 11k out the door. - just for reference

Pls there are a billion trucks in Texas. I recommend using auto trader and searching a 125 mile radius. Here in Georgia I had to go 134 miles to find the only 4x4 under 140k miles lol.

But the truck you posted... it is really nice looking. I'll give it that. If you're in love with it I'dhave a mechanic check it out first. Thoroughly.

I do agree with the previous comments.

High price for the miles.
If you have trustworthy mechanic and he can vouch for the truck being in top condition after a thorough inspection then it's worth considering, but I'd still try and negotiate it down. Look for comparables on auto traders and other similar local sites as leverage from a pricing standpoint.

My 2 cents

Most of the time a modified 4x4 truck isn't going to bring more money than a comparable stock version of same mileage. I wouldn't give more than $10K for that truck. I purchased my truck last year, it's an 07' and had 58K miles on it. I paid $15K for it.

and it cant be an "SLT Laramie" its either an SLT or Laramie

seeing that it doesnt have leather seats, and it appears to have the Big Horn Edition badge on the tailgate its an SLT Big Horn Edition

Just an FYI lol

Thats way too much mileage for the price and its lifted even more stress on the engine that might need a rebuild soon. Nice truck no doubt but unless the thought of high mileage doesnt bother you id look for something under 100k in miles trust me it makes a difference. Ive driven hemi's with 60k and one with 180k and you can feel the lack of umph from the higher mileage truck.
