I see pure performance has a 3" track bar drop bracket for our newer hd trucks, has any body used one yet?

Do you have a drop pitman arm? Whatever you do to the trac bar you also have to do to the steering or you will get bad bumpsteer

Yeah the trac bar and drag link should stay in parallel lines to avoid bump steer

Hmmmm there's plenty of guys on here doing a 2.5-3" lift with track bar upgrades and no pitman arm upgrade maybe they can chime in

That I know of, the 2.5 - 3" lifts with a track bar, it's just a longer front track bar. This is to re-center the axle. I haven't seen any 3" or smaller lifts with a drop bracket. Doesn't mean they don't exist, but I haven't seen any.

Thuren makes a rear trackbar & bracket kit for 0-2.5" rear lifts.

They might be upgrading the trac bar with a longer/adjustable unit but they aren’t dropping the frame end

So just to clarify, (2-3" lifts) if its a Trac bar upgrade then you don't need a pitman arm but if you instead use a drop bracket then you need to upgrade to a drop Pitnam arm?

Yes. Whatever u do the trac bar u need to do to the drag link too. Like in this case if u drop the trac bar u need to drop the drag link which is done with a longer pitman arm.

Yes. However a 2-3 inch lift should not require a pitman or trac bar drop. Dropping them might actually cause clearance problems. Most of the time you don’t drop the pitman or trac bar until you’re over 4 inches of lift
