It hurt to do it but I traded in my 700hp 2008 GT500 for my new Rebel
Only did it so I can get rid of my 99 Jeep for something that can tow my next cobra.
At first I was looking to buy a Sierra like my dads 2016. One thing really bothered me with it though, the center stack looks like its giving birth to the radio.
It may not look like it in the photo but I cant unsee it in person. Not to mention I would be buying a higher end truck but they didn't even bother to try and change up the interior from the Silverado. Just changed the material they make it with. Didn't even change the gauges in the slightest. So that annoys me quite a but.
Although I liked the look of the Rams everyone knows Chrysler hasn't been known for their great transmissions. Then I learned that the 2013 and up had the zf 8 speed and I was damn near convinced cause I already knew ram had the best bang for buck.
Started looking into it and learned that the I could actually afford the Rebel, and the looks of the truck are just perfection to me.
The 5.7 and the 8 speed are really well dialed in and I give props the Ram on that. I also like the air suspension but don't like the thought of how unreliable that could potentially be in the near future so I went ahead and got a bumper to bumper extended warranty for an extra 1700. Best part of all of this....
My dad loved the rebels so much he traded in his sierra for a 2016 Rebel with 18k miles lol. I guess I made the right decision
