It hurt to do it but I traded in my 700hp 2008 GT500 for my new Rebel

Only did it so I can get rid of my 99 Jeep for something that can tow my next cobra.

At first I was looking to buy a Sierra like my dads 2016. One thing really bothered me with it though, the center stack looks like its giving birth to the radio.

It may not look like it in the photo but I cant unsee it in person. Not to mention I would be buying a higher end truck but they didn't even bother to try and change up the interior from the Silverado. Just changed the material they make it with. Didn't even change the gauges in the slightest. So that annoys me quite a but.

Although I liked the look of the Rams everyone knows Chrysler hasn't been known for their great transmissions. Then I learned that the 2013 and up had the zf 8 speed and I was damn near convinced cause I already knew ram had the best bang for buck.

Started looking into it and learned that the I could actually afford the Rebel, and the looks of the truck are just perfection to me.

The 5.7 and the 8 speed are really well dialed in and I give props the Ram on that. I also like the air suspension but don't like the thought of how unreliable that could potentially be in the near future so I went ahead and got a bumper to bumper extended warranty for an extra 1700. Best part of all of this....

My dad loved the rebels so much he traded in his sierra for a 2016 Rebel with 18k miles lol. I guess I made the right decision

Big change, good choice, curious as why you didn't go with the Raptor though, that's a bad ass truck?

Love my Rebel! Awesome truck...and I'd heartily agree that the 5.7 Hemi & 8Speed is an amazing combination. This is my 2nd vehicle with that combo...1st was a 2014 Durango R/T.

Congrats!!

That is awsome! Nice trucks! Nice GT!!

I feel same, I have a 2018 Silverado for a rental (truck in body shop), and I hate it! The looks, the feel, the plastic, the rattles.. and that ugly ass stereo that sounds like speakers underwater!!

I should get my Ram back tomorrow. Been 2 weeks in the body shop.. got rear ended a few weeks ago.

Beautiful truck man. Congrats!
Great taste in cars man. I also have a Mustang as my toy, a '13 Roush Stage 3.
I take it you're buying the new GT500 when it comes out?

I'm actually looking at either a 13/14 gt500 or Roush stage 3. I absolutely love the 13/14 body style. It'll be a couple years till I can afford one so I have time to decide.

I was looking at them but they have a lot of stupid little issues for a used truck that costs the same as a new rebel. For example, you have to get the fox shocks built every 50k miles. Also the rear window will shatter if you use the rear defroster. Also they have a lot of electrical and blend door issues. Like hell I'm going back to the blend door issues I had with my Jeep. I'm pretty happy with my choice

Used Raptor (decked out) = $50K
New Rebel...less than that.

Good choice. I too thought about a Raptor. I just couldn't justify the price though....and I love the Hemi....

That's awesome man. Good luck.
I was looking at the '13/1'4 GT500 cars as well. I need one that 100% stock, super low mileage and super clean though. Too hard to find. Plus, I'm picky on color and it needs to have the Track Pak as well. I love my '13 Roush Stage 3 in GHIG. Super clean, super low mileage, (only 3,300 miles), and always garaged. Never been out in rain/snow/wet pavement.
I was thinking of ordering a 2019 Z06/Z07 3LZ, but I don't think I want to be stuck with a car payment for 10 years. Could probably pay it off in 8, but still that's way too long and it's a high car payment. The one I built priced out at over 108K. It would be my last toy and I want to go out with a bang. Don't think it's going to happen. lol
