Over the past week or so I’ve noticed a noise coming from what I think is the tranny.

-when coming to a stop, it sounds like there’s gravel in the tranny.

-same sound when I give it gas.

-there is fluid on the underside of the truck, right above the main seal of the tranny.

-I think it’s blown the seal, just don’t know what caused it.

-not sure if it matters, but I changed trans fluid/filter a few months ago.

-no noise if I put the truck in neutral.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes if you don't fit the filter in just right, the filter will drop out and lay in the pan.

Gravel sound is not good. If u messed up the filter install it wasn’t sucking fluid and you burnt out the pump more than likely. I would prob bring it in and expect a big bill. Tranny will still have to come out to do just a pump seal anyways. If your losing fluid that’s no good anyways.
