Just found a great deal on a trinity T1000 tuner, can a custom email tune be used with the trinity? What advantages does the T1000 have vs the I2?
Also does the T1000 have to stay plugged in and mounted to the dash?

You can get custom tunes, set it up with gauges to monitor and it doesnt need to stay plugged in unless you use it for monitoring gauges. I have one on my turbo jeep and just bought one used from a friend for my ram...;)

As far as the tuning package is concerned, they are the same. You can load canned tunes, upload custom tunes and modify certain settings with both.

The big difference between the two is the real time gauge display of the T1000. The I2 doesn't have one. For the T1000 display to work it must be plugged into your OBD II data port.

If you are on Facebook there are a ton of Hemi pages, tuners are going for sale there almost every day. Seen them as low as $250. Try NADodge, Hemi Parts swapmeet, Gen 3 Hemi Parts, and LXForums, great places to look

Oh yeah and if you think about it, the Trinity covers a huge amount of vehicles, so if you REALLY want to find a deal there’s no reason to limit yourself to just dodge pages. Sneak into a furd or chubby forum and see if they are selling them, one less tuned furd to worry about lol
