Used DS Trinity?

I have a 2013 5.7 hemi. A friend of mine wants to sell his used DS T1000 that he has on his 300c. Would this work on my truck once the tune is released for it? Could I not buy this tuner and then just download the software for the 2013 when it is released? I don't have any experience with DS tuners or how they work. Any help would be much appreciated.

I just found out it is not a trinity. Would it still work if it is one of the othe DS tuners? He used it dor a couple months on his 2009 300c. Paid 439 $ new. He will sell it to me for 200 $

$200 is way too high for a predator. Not sure if once tuning is released for the 13's if the predator will support it

If by unlocked you mean the original tune loaded back to the vehicle.

Diablo has phased out the Predator and won't right the tunes for new vehicles on its old platform.

Like mentioned, the Predator will not work on the 2013's once they release tuning for the 13's. Even the standard InTune will not work. You will need either a Trinity or an InTune DCX for all Ram trucks from 11-13.

Ya I figured that. Oh well work a couple Saturday's and its Paid for. Is there a huge difference between the Trinity and DcX Intune besides the trinity having the virtual drag times?
