Hi everyone, saying thanks in advance for any help I can get.

2017 Ram 1500, 3.6L 4x4, 3.21 Rear Axle, Anti-Spin Differential, 2000 miles.

Ever since I've had the truck there's been a small vibration between 18 - 28 mph. Doesn't matter whether it's accelerating, slowing down, coasting, etc. At first I was hoping it was tires 'cause that's what it felt like. Dealer spent a day ruling everything out starting at the front and working his way back, swapping tires, pulling drive shafts, etc. He believes he's got it narrowed down to the rear end (he thinks) and is now talking to Chrysler. Monday I'll be taking it to them again so they can have it all day for Chrysler and themselves.

Because no one knows what's going on and the problem could be severe I've made the decision to stop driving my new $45k truck which is really ******' me off.

Has anyone run into this on their truck or heard of anything resembling this?

Again, thanks for any help.

Stuff happens with every brand. At least they're willing to try to find and fix the problem. I suggest you sit back and relax. It's not worth getting worked up over. Hopefully they'll provide you with a loaner vehicle until yours is fixed.

Sounds like a byproduct of mass production. I'd keep driving it and let the dealer sort it out. It is nice you've gotten them to acknowledge the issue -- if it continues without resolution, perhaps you can pursue a lemon law claim. Either way, nothing to get too worked up over.

Bentleys, Ferraris, Teslas, and every other complex mechanical tool has problems from time to time, and RAMs are no different...regardless of how much you paid.

I think someone on here said there was a technical service bulletin on the driveshaft that caused vibrations but I'm not sure what years it was for. You could definitely mention that to the dealer and have them verify

Thanks Andrea, I appreciate that. Being new here I don't know, are you associated with Dodge / Chrysler?

Thanks. I'm taking it back to the dealer on Monday for at least the day so if there are any issues I'll keep you informed.

Problems that have been posted for vibration issues. Tires, out of balance faulty wheels, drive shaft along with a couple other things I can't recall.

2017 Ram 1500 Dealer and there engineer blew off my concerns, Been through 4 sets of brand new tires..rear drivers side axle replaced.. had violent shaking 3x on initial tire swap and since then unable to stop shaking/vibration in vehicle. They have TSB on driveshaft and there is current investigation on rearend by NHTSA. provided video of key fob and push to start failure and park sense failure. Same old excuses unable to duplicate customers concern and to wipe sensors clean. lmao. very poor serivice.

We'll, they replaced the COMPLETE rear end housing and replaced all 4 tires. Vibration went away for awhile and now it seems to be back at the same speed range, 18 to 28 mph.

that is strange personally I am trying to trace one down I notice the most between 70-80 mph , with new tires and balance, rotation etc. it is now more pronounced than with the old tires , it feels like the rear to me but I have a hunch it is the drive shaft or u joints , 11 ram under 40kmi
