I was going to sell my 3rd gen so I did some research on CL and it seems like the prices on 2nd and 3rd Gens are super high? Is it like that in everyone else's area too or just here in Northen California?

I'll bet its northern cal that's higher than most other places. Used trucks seem to sell at a premium around here. goes for most forms of transportation. My last motorcycle, went to a bay area dealer and saved about $1500 over the best Sac price.

HDs with diesels don't depreciate too much, at least around here. Most of the time a cummins are just about immortal when treated right. Also its not just cali, oklahoma for some reason has really high prices on just about any vehicle. Found its more cost-effective to drive 3-4 hours down towards the dallas-ft worth area to find cars sometimes up to 3000-5000 dollars cheaper

I just bought a 06 2500 Mega Cab, 5.7, 4wd with 84,7xx on it. Paid $17,3xx from a Dealer in Idaho. The window sticker was at $19,9 with an advertised price (off site lot sale) for $18,9.

*note: the $17,3xx I paid included everything = vehicle price, tax, & all fees*

As the price of a New Ram keeps going up the older Ram gets more expensive.

I bought my 06 standard cab with a 6.4ft bed and 148k miles for $6200 ($7300 out the door ttl & fees). 3rd Gens are spendy here in Southern Arizona and mine was just too good of a deal to pass up in Phoenix at $2k less than Tucson for similar.

it's a crap shoot around these parts, some 4x4 QC Hemi trucks are in the 2500-12000 range depending on miles and add on's
4.7s take about 1k off it, *******'s add about 10K ….an 03 V6 QC 4x2 Long bed...(who the hell would order that from new), the guy wants 23k for it because it was under 100k miles.....it's still for sale a year later.

RCSB 4x2s are between 2500 & 12k depending on mileage and rust 4x4's are about the same unless it's a long bed then it's 1500-10k if it's specialty like a Rumble Bee or Daytona 5k-22k , GTX and GTxtreme are hit in miss, and I think that has to do with knowledge
My 1st GTxtreme I paid 8800 out the door and I thought I stole it, the dealership never even heard of them, I had searched and searched for a Plum Crazy truck for a few years, then 3 months later I found an 04 Plum GTX 10 miles away for $1500 kid need to move it before he went back to school and thought it was something the previous own dressed the truck up with. the Solar Yellow 05 GTxtreme was 4500.
My 03 Hemi ST was $900....needed a trans...go figure a Hemi truck that needs a trans.

@ric3xrt I myself never seen or heard of the GTX editions. I just looked it up and seen a black one with orange graphics. That’s a sick looking rig!

I just got this 2005, 150 K miles, 2nd owner. They guy I got it from had it on CL for $18,500.00, he used it to tow a 5th wheel and was just getting it ready for camp season, he put new brakes on it, new tires, fully serviced and a new radio setup for blue tooth. The thing was sooooooo clean I didn't even try to grind him on the price,.....I looked for 2 years till I found this one, I couldn't have gone to the dealer an "ordered" one set up any better for what I want to use it for.42914341_10217435843278597_8415224865816051712_n.jpg
