My truck was paid off when I drove it off the lot. Not trying to brag at all, I know there are millions of Americans who have no choice but to carry a vehicle payment. That's where I was 10 years ago, but my wife and I diligently changed our spending habits and saved every dime. Our only debt now is the mortgage and we own all 3 of our vehicles.

Again, not trying to brag, just want to encourage others to work hard and save harder because a debt free life is possible.

I was in the same spot 4 years ago nearly paid off house 2 new paid off cars. Then my daughter was born 100k in medical bills later (totally correctable club feet disorder just extremely expensive surgeries), sold the house bought another and sold both cars. Now we get to carry car payments for a few years. Something we learned from the experience is money comes and goes if you have to get into some debt to have fun just do it.

We used to be so frugal and work so hard to stay within our means sitting at home for months just to save money. Then it all seemed to vanish in the blink of an eye.

My AC compressor went out I guess last week and since it snowed here Monday ain’t used it till last night. Going to be replacing that this weekend maybe depends they’re not cheap to do. I do however have access to a hvac system machine so no labor paid for the swap.

Finally got the console back in the truck! And the shifter is mounted. I may mess around with actually getting this hooked up to my current trans. I even took a quick drive around the neighborhood getting for a feel for how it will shift later. I LOVE IT! Can’t wait to have a fully manual trans to drive around, no more gear hunting for me! PATC finally shipped my kit today, took them like 5 days. Oh well. Next is finishing the painting and trying to fix a hole on the one side of the dash where it doesn’t quite line up. I want this to look almost factory when it’s done
