Seriously??? $7,000?!?!? This is why Diesels have risen to an unreal level. How can someone ask $7k for any vehicle thats 13 years old, 274k miles on it AND its been rolled over and destroyed?!?!?!

Ive seen 1999 and 2002 Diesel Rams with 250k+ miles going for $15k-$20k... its crazy!

Yeah it really boomed in the last few years. I remember looking at duramaxes back a few years ago, and then later on. It just those few years prices rose by almost 5k for an identical truck as before

Still better condition than most trucks around the Miami area

If you look on Craigslist you will see the Ford diesels are not doing well in the resale market, there is a flood of them.
The Cummins has proven itself to be the better out of the bunch and the resale values reflect that.
It's tough to get into a used Cummins.

Asking price and selling price are two different things. You can ask whatever you please, don't mean you're gonna get it. I sold my son's 2001 3500 dually CTD last summer and despite pricing under similar trucks that were for sale in my area, it still sold for several thousand less than I was asking.

Diesel people seem to prefer the pre-smog crap and the def that our government stuck us with. My friends are paying in the high 20's for pre-def rams which seem to be up till mid year 2008. I'll stick with my gas.

I sold my 99 2wd short bed 2500 Cummins for 4 grand over book last year ($12k). The guy didn't haggle at all. It depends on where you are. Out here on the left coast, the diesels command top dollar.
