So, I bought my ram a week ago, pulled the trigger quick. Been looking at trucks for 1.5 years and the dealer had this in for two days. I went to install my vararam intake just now and popped the hood for the first time and found the intake in the pic below. ( I know, who buys a vehicle without popping the hood, but I knew this was my vehicle as soon as I saw it and test drove it for 2 miles since I didn't want anyone snatching it). Someone sank some money. 6" BDS lift, 37" tires w/ 20's. My question... Is this an aftermarket Mopar intake? I searched and couldn't find this intake???

Just noticed the billet catch can... Glad I didn't order that... I want to meet whoever had this truck prior and give them a hug

So now the dilemma... Do I install the vararam or keep the Mopar?

If you have the vararam already or money is no object I'd put it on and sell the Mopar intake. If you haven't bought the vararam already I'd call the Mopar intake good enough.

Here ya go, a pic from last week. I just got it back last night from having 35% tint on the windshield done and complete ceramic coating, too rainy for new pics

Thanks for the feedback, have the money and the vararam install is under way. I'll definitely pay it forward if I can get the vararam intake installed... Disappointed with bolt alingment atm

I made a deal with myself if it had LT headers, I'd buy a cam/header package tomorrow... Not that lucky lol.... I still think the TB may be ported, any thoughts?

I put this intake on my truck. For a Mopar it was kind of a pain to install so be glad the last guy did it lol. But I really like it. Mainly because of the clean OEM look.

I would leave the Mopar, for sure. From what l have read, it is a real nice unit. Plus, it's already there. The engine bay needs a little cleaning.

That truck is so sharp, l probably bought it without looking under the hood, also!

But not before l knew what rear end gears it had.

Drill a few new holes. Problem solved In 20 seconds.

I vote vararam as well.

I vote vararam or S&B, all preference IMO. Looks like the previous owner has been on these forums with the catch can but wanted to keep the OEM look when upgrading.

I put the vararam on. Glad I did, it sounds better and seems to have a little better response.
