Armslist isn't to bad. Facebook used to have some form of sales groups you could use. Make sure you have the buyer to sign some form or receipt or bill of sale though for your records.

I sold mind through Craigslist......It took a bit longer because I was able to look at their page and if they looked like a punk I wouldn't sell it to them, trust me there were plenty of them.....But yes make sure to make a bill of sale!!!

I'm scared sh#@less about selling firearms on line or privately. Everything I buy/sell goes through a dealer. I may make a few bucks less but I know I'm not going to be held responsible for something untoward in the future. I know the paperwork is solid and the dealer is in between me and them.

I've bought and sold a ton on armslist in the past without any real issues. I just try to make a point to speak directly on the phone e to the buyer/seller before setting up a meeting point. You can read people better by voice than text message. If anything seems off, I'll walk away in a heartbeat, but I never have had to. Just be sure you check your state laws and follow all them. In Ohio we have to see each others id's to prove both parties are residents, but it also serves as a quick age check if there's any question someone is too young. Otherwise just use common sense.
