I personally think Gears are bang for the buck, went 355 to 410 and think it was a good decision. Wasn't mind blowing like I thought it would be but definitely an improvement.
The Ford EB at the track was running .5 faster than my geared and tuned Ram. It was a 4 door family truck with a can tune.

I'll say.....I test drove a 2016 Hemi Ram Sport with 3.21 gears/8 speed that had Cooper STT Pro 35's & a levelling kit.

It was incredibly sluggish in comparison to my 2016 Hemi Ram Sport with 3.92 gears/8 speed with Cooper STT Pro 35's & a 4" lift kit.

I have a 2014 1500 3.92 8-speed, when I took my Audi S8 in for repairs they gave me a 2015 1500 3.21 and 8-speed to take home for the week. It was a very very noticeable difference I won't have anything but the 3.92 from now on

Unfortunately I am maintaining his truck for him while he is overseas so I only drive his truck 1 day a week to keep things running correctly. So no real way to race either

You just need his permission to try it out and another friend that can drive your truck.:happy107:

    lol, I know I know!

I am going to say I still believe that in addition to the gears the factory calibrations are different as well.....I'm no expert but there is a distinct difference in how the engine and transmission drive in his truck, shifts seem a little firmer as well.

I just installed the pedal commander... and let me tell you , my truck responds much quicker now.

I have a hemifever tune 89 / ported throttle body and the big round intake. I have JBA headers (shortys) not installed yet!
