I'm currently rolling on some 315/60/20 good year duratracs. They are designated winter tires( all season with the winter logo ) My question is . Has anyone had experience rolling tires this large in the sniw or am I better off getting another set of smaller 17s maybe for the winter ?13a28f027d1caf0490181dab85f3013d.jpg

If you have the money, a second set with actual snow tires is always best. Better grip, better handling, quicker stopping.

I live in Québec Canada. We get some nice dumps of the white stuff up here too. I have motomaster studded 17s that I used last year. I just don't want to look like my truck skipped leg day all winter lol. Did some research the duretracs I'm on now are winter and not all season. They are just large . That's what my concern is I guess. Being so large will i have a problem in the snow or will it have a snow shoe effect and just float over top ?

So basically you're running a 33.5 almost. If you're running a beefy tire like that I shouldn't have any problems with my 35s. Thanks buddy

Running mud tires in the snow is just silly, no wonder your Ram does not do well as a plow truck :homoswitch:

Yeah, mud tires in the snow is usually not a good idea. They're not designed to be used in snow and the compounds tend to get harder in the cold weather. And usually when you get mud tires you get a wider tire, which is also not good for snow.

I keep my stock wheels and tires around for the winter and swap them back on every year. They're all seasons and aren't as good as winter tires but they do better than my trail grapplers. Mud tires are absolutely not good winter tires.
