wiring problem

I have a 82 d150 that had a points distributor in it and i bought a new electric distributor put it in and now its not firing from the coil wire to the distributor cap so i went to the parts store and they told me i needed a ignition module so i buy it hook it up and still
nothing so now im lost im not very mechanical inclined so if anyone has any suggestions as to what it might be that's wrong it would be very much appreciated

Get the mopar performance kit. It's an easy, not overly expensive job and it only takes about 15 minutes to install.
