Alright folks, I'm ready to lift my truck. Right now she is leveled with Bils.& Mevo UCA. I want to go Zone 6" with 5" rear springs but Zone says to keep the Bils set at factory due to angles will be f@cked. Shop that is going to due work says the same thing. Also I wanted to go to 17" wheels with -12 offset running 37x12.5 do you thing I'd have an issue with this size?
Now I'm contemplating just going 3" rear to keep it level...Help me out here.

I did the 6" BDS which is basically the same thing. I also have the 5100 shocks. I ended up setting them up one notch and did not use the little plastic spring spacer that comes with the kit. They include it with the kit because most people don't have adjustable shocks. The spring spacer is for those that want their truck to sit pretty much level after being lifted. Basically it gave me the same result but I did it with the shock instead of the little spacer they send with the kit. With the Bilsteins up one notch up and 3 inch rear springs the truck sits pretty much level it might be down 1/8" to 1/4 inch in the front. I have seen a few few guys set their bilstein's up quite a bit to get more lift but I'm not sure if they have had any issues. I also worried about vibration and geometry so I decided to just keep mine at the 6". With my lift and my differential drop bracket my upper control arms as well as my axles and CV joints are relatively straight. I honestly don't think it would have hurt it if I set the shocks up a little higher as long as I could adjust my caster and Camber out properly but I am happy with the 6", as far as the tire fitment goes I'm running a 20x10 -12 with 35 inch tires and have no clearance issues. I know you can run 20x10-12 with 37's with the 6" lift with no issues. I would think running the 10x17-12 wheel with 37's wouldn't make any difference but I have no first-hand knowledge on this. Hopefully someone will chime in who's running the 37's on a 10x17-12 wheel.

Keep in mind the Zone or BDS lifts use a Tophat strut spacer along with a preload strut spacer. You cannot use the preload spacer with Bilsteins so maybe you need to explain that too them. You can leave your Bils up just add the Zone UCA to correct the geometry. The place I bought my BDS was Leary too so the owner called them and they said if I add the Zone arms it was no problem so that’s what we did. Mine are Bilsteins 6112 set at 2.5” and the alignment is perfect and rides great, CV angles aren’t bad either. Mine sits dead level with 5” coils so keep your Bils around 2.1” or you’ll need to add a small rear coil spacer as well. My tires are 37x12.50 on 20x9 -12 and fit fine so you should be ok too.

I have the zone 6" with 5" rear coils and bils set at 2.8. I'm running 35x12.5 toyo mt's. Here ia a shot of my angles from underneath. Have been running this set up for a while with no problems. Should also mention that mines a 2011 and I have the oem UCA's.

So I just went through a debacle with my shop because apparently the RC lift the ordered won't fit my wheels so I had them order a Zone 6 with 5" rear. My bills are currently at 2.8" should I have them drop the bills to 2.1" with no preload spacer or should I be good to go at 2.8"?

I have 20x9 wheels, and a RC 6" lift. Tires and wheels were already in the truck when i bought it. I wish i had 20x10 wheels. That 1" extra wheel width does make a difference.

18x9 -12 offset 4.53 backspace.
I called zone to confirm they would fit and they said I would have no problems. Ticked me off a bit bc Im on vacation and wanted my truck finished on my return. Now I have to wait till they can get the zone in and install. So now it's probably middle of next week.

That's weird that you cant run anything smaller than a 20" diameter wheel

Requires 20" or larger wheels! Does NOT fit 18" or smaller wheels.

I didn't even see that till after they told me. They had actually talked me into the RC lift as I originally wanted zone so I ended up getting what I originally wanted. So I guess its a win in the end

Yes you will like the zone with Bils, its much more customizable

Hemi450hp (Moes) has his bils set to 2.8 and added a rear spacer, Solid State has his set at 2.8, IIRC Witch has his at 2.1, mine are set at max 2.5 (6112 bils) and my truck is dead level by the tape measure, with the Zone you can always add a small rear spacer for an extra 1" if it seems low.

Thanks man, as always very helpful! I'm gonna have my shop lower my bills to 2.1" and go from there. I do have a tgc .75" rear spacer I can use as well if needed if I leave em @2.8"

I had preset my bils at 2.1 when I dropped my truck off the shop. The next day or so they called me and asked "what do you want these Bilsteins set at".....I then said set to the max and changed my mind from 2.1. Looking back I should have stuck with my plan, but like you I have a .75 TGC in the storage bin under the rear seat if it starts to bother me lol.

Nobody ever mentions this, but my tires did rub the front lower airdam bottom corner and had to be trimmed. There was no trimming required at the fender, it has plenty of room (inches). I added some rubber trim to the edge to make it look factory-ish.
