I wanted to see if anybody is/has run suspension lifts by Zone Offroad. I have a leveling kit now and it seems to be giving me lots of grief ball joint and control arm wise. I figure a 4" is plenty for me, but I looked over their website and the lifts price seem to be right in line with the overall fit and form - they look cheap to me. Skyjacker is at the top for me, but they only offer a 6" and it's $2400.00 compared to the 4" that's $1200.00.

Any ideas or help on picking a lift or determining why my truck loves to eat struts and ball joints it greatly appreciated.

I ran a zone 6" on a 2010 F-150 and loved it. I did the install myself with the help of a buddy at a shop so I got a pretty detailed look at the quality, fit, and finish of the kit and I was very pleased. I would recommend them. As stated before, pretty much the same as BDS.

What are you using as a leveling kit now? If it's spacers then that's probably your issue.

Yea ditch the spacers and get 5100's and you'll be fine. But zone is a good lift if you're still into that idea. I know my rough country lift is "cheap" and everyone bad mouths it but it's really not bad. The ride is great and seems to be holding up good. 3 years and 25,000 miles on the lift.

I'm not positive, but I think that the factory length struts get over extended and die as a result.

Mine was the same way on my 2wd when I had the spacers above the coils. That bottoming out feeling is pretty ugly when you're driving.

No ****, I feel the bottom falling out and diving into the pavement.

Yeah man get rid of those spacers and get 5100s and call it a day. That's definitely what the problem is.

I say lift it. Though I like my trucks up off the ground. Lol 5100s might be all you need depending on your preference.

It comes down to personal preference. But I currently have a 6" Zone lift (which BDS makes), have had it on for 3 years now, and I go off-roading very often, and I have had no issues at all.
