Saw on the website there is an update for the 8.4a and 8.4an anyone complete the update yet? Notice any thing better? I hate doing updates when everything is working fine...

I did the update last night, I don't notice any difference. When I go to Uconnect now though it never gets past loading. Even though there wasn't anything worthwhile in there before, now it just says loading.

i'll just leave things as normal and not update since things are working fine...

Apps are all gone

After doing the upgrade, at the request of a uconnect rep. Who I had called over a different issue. I have lost all uconnect apps. After a week of calls back and forth, I have been advised that the system firmware and the firmware version upload to the truck are wrong and I have to take the truck to the dealer to have Chrysler star care update their version to match my trucks. Well, it at the dealer today, lets see what happens.

Thats the same exact thing they told me, that the versions are wrong. I think that is also the cause of my battery drain, it seems the Uconnect is trying to update itself over night.

I really don't feel like taking it to the dealer, I wanted them to provide me with a flash update etc but they don't seem willing to do that..... what a royal PITA.

Interesting. Mine works fine and I am leery of doing updates that r so new. Why did the dealer say?

I did the update - haven't noticed anything different and all seems to work OK.

I have spent the last week and a half trying to get my radio to work after a uconnect rep asked me to do the update, even though I had called with just a question. After the upgrade all my uconnect apps went away. I have worked almost daily with uconnect who has sent me to the dealer two times. the first was to have the dealer have Chrysler update their software to match my trucks. No success, Chrysler indicated it could not be done. on the second visit uconnect said to have the software in my truck rolled back to anything in the 12.X.X range of firmware, that was today. The dealer again check and there is no way to roll firmware upgrades back. I even tried downloading a fresh install of the firmware from the uconnect server and reinstalling with no difference. I called Ram support and they confirmed with me that firmware cannot be rolled back. Looks like I will wait for the dealer to see if anything short or a unit radio replacement will work. Let's see!!

I have the same issue. Headed to the dealer to have corrected. UConnect said that they are to check for the antenna and if it is good then they will need to replace the radio with anything other than software version 13.06
