All seats are staying, that's why I had to go to the headliner to mount the goods. I'm building a rack to house the amps and it will be mounted up there. It'll house a 1000.1 JL J2 Amp, and a 320.4 JL J2 Amp. It'll be a real clean install with blue LEDs and frosted plexiglass. Under the seats will be 2 JL Audio 12" W3s in a fiberglassed box also accented with blue LEDs. I'm also going to be running two pairs of JL components. I'll start with this and see how it sounds. I may end up adding more mid-range speakers later if it needs it.

No video just yet. I may add video later, but for now it'll just be audio. I just put an indash DVD and 2 headrest monitors in my wife's car and it definitely hasn't been ruled out for the Ram. The bad thing is I'd have to sell my Alpine head unit and get an indash DVD, so that'll wait until later.

A few progress pictures. First is the amp rack that I built. It is white laminated 1/2 OSB with 3/8" white plexiglass on the sides. Not pictured, but already built, it a rounded trim plate that will go all the way around the amp rack. It will be upholstered to match and there will be blue LED lights inside it all the way around that will shine through the white plexiglass. Its kind of hard to explain, but I'll keep posting pictures! I've got the amps wired and the headliner cut where it will go. Next step is to attach some metal brackets on the top side of the amp rack that will allow me to mount it to the roof supports in the truck. The I'll put the headliner back in, install the LEDs to the cover trim piece and install the cover trim piece.

Here's some updated pix. Today I got the amp rack mounted. You will also see the trim piece that I made that will be upholstered and will help make it look clean and complete.

Tomorrow will be a day of wiring. As you can see by the pictures, I've already got the amps grounded (look closely) so tomorrow I will run the RCA's to the head unit, run the remote to the head unit, mount and wire the fused distribution block, run all four door speakers and run the subs speaker wire down. Once I get all of that done, I'll put the headliner back in and begin installing the blue LED's and trim piece. Once the headliner is all done, I'll start the fiberglassing of the box!
