Does anyone know if its possible to add rear vents to a Quad Cab? If so, does anyone know whats involved in this?

I ask because I'm thinking of purchasing a new jump seat with the under seat storage, but they all come with the rear vents. If they come with it, why not make them functional?

Me crew cab has rear vents that are at the drivetrain hump. Are Quad cabs different?

In my QC I don't have rear vents so I'm not sure.

I guess another question to add to my OP is does anyone with a quad cab and a front jump seat console have rear floor vents?

Quad cabs do not come with the vents from the factory. Only crew and mega. That being said, I would think it could be done with the right parts...

I have a quad cab too. I would think that if you could find the correct part number it could be added. I would seriously doubt there is any difference it the floor of the two cab styles. I have actualy wanted to do this myself. First step would be to find the correct part numbers of the pieces needed. My truck has the under seat storage with the CD player and I don't have the vents.

This is the setup for the hot air delivery, sorry that it doesn't show the AC part.

I am pretty sure the AC runs on the hump and straight back. Mine has the middle jump seat and the AC vents on the back of it. It would hook up on the bottom of the HVAC unit somewhere.

You could probably get the duct and modify it to your needs.

That's such a stupid idea by RAM, almost as bad as them putting only one auto dim mirror on the driver side mirror.[emoji12]

Just to be clear, you have the center duct removed right?

The picture is not of my truck, but yes I did check my CC and it does run down the center of the hump and as stated is not shown in the picture.

Can you see it under the carpet? Is it raised where the duct is?

Same principle as the heater duct in the picture, yes it is raised from the floor, it has to be

Look at the heat duct and how it sits and apply that to the center area only running straight back. The carpet is over top of it, the heat and the AC ducts.

I think if you find these 2 pieces don't you just tie into the vent under the radio and it goes straight back?

I would recommend you go test drive a truck with rear AC to see if it's worth your while. Everyone who has ever sat in my rear seats complains the ram AC sucks. "Is the AC on" "Yes full blast" - 42* coming out of the vents and they can't feel it unless I divert the center front 2 to blow back.

Quad cab will likely be better since there's cu ft. to cool.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but that ducting carries heat or a/c on my 2019 classic CC. Flow direction has to be set to floor or a combo of dash and floor.

I'll have to check my brother's 2019 classic QC, but I swear my 2017 QC had the floor ducting to the rear seat.

My 2019 CC has the front/center jump seat with the rear vents facing the rear seat.

My wife and her sister say it's horrible in the QC too. I've literally had it blowing clouds out with condensate forming in the vents and they say they are hot...

You could add in an extra blower motor under the center console to force the air out :) DIY job for sure.
