I am wanting to do the auxillary button mod on my '16 2500. But my local dealer is not willing to help me research the part number. I have looked through several threads looking for a part number for the switch I need but I have not had any luck. Does anyone know the part number for the auxillary switch panel for a '16 2500 with traction control, tow/haul, rear park assist buttons on top and the 5 aux buttons on the bottom?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

As far as I can tell, that should be the correct number. Do the switches alone do you any good? Is the wiring there?

Do you know if the aux buttons use the same connector as the top row of buttons or is there a second connext on the swith with aux buttons? I haven't been able to find a picture of the back of the switch.

This is quite an undertaking, requires an additional aux pdc unit mounted under the hood, wiring harness and a sales code which may prove near impossible to get. Here is the directions for 14 & 15, don't think it changed much for 16. I do believe that it is one connector for all of it though yours may not have the wires for it in the connector.

I'll be running the wires from the under hood connectors to the back of the Aux panel on a new 2016 2500 this week and I'll get you pics of the harness and connectors. Just finished doing two others this week but didn't think to take a few pics and post up for those who are looking into this. Just a heads up, like others here have said this will be no small undertaking and one thing to keep in mind, finding a keyed on circuit to tap into can cause the ECM/BCM to shut the truck off if either detects to much current draw? I'm just telling you this to be mindful of what you plan on doing with the switches.

Thanks for the info. For the most part I will be running additional lighting. I look forward to seeing your post and pictures.

I'll PM you since I'm not the greatest at posting pictures. We have 4 RAM 2500's where I work, all are 2016's, 3 are Crew Cab 4x4 with service boxes and one(mine) is a Power Wagon. All have to run auxiliary lighting plus radios and PA systems and external speakers/sirens. The Power Wagon is the only one that didn't come with the switches which is how I know what happens when you pull power from an existing circuit and the load increases to much. I do have a few other tricks I've learned on these trucks for finding power though and I'll elaborate when I PM you the photos. I'll also send you the part number for Aux wiring harness from under the hood a small well as show you how we routed it thru the firewall.

Cheers

By the way, how to know certain parts, knowing only the VIN number of the car. Some advise such service. What can you say? Will it work?

I wanted to follow-up on this post to say thank you to Yoda and Magician for thier assistance. I was finally able to complete my auxiliary switch install and everything work perfectly. The part number provid ed d by Yoda was the correct switch and the pictures provided by Magician were a big help. I am still waiting on a relay block to arrive to make the install look like it is completely Oem. But the functionality is already in place.

I found the following wiring diagram on Ram Builder. That helped with building my harness.

Aux1 - pin 3 br/or
Aux2 - pin 2 br/vt
Aux3 - pin 11 br/wt
Aux4 - pin 10 br/gy
Aux5 - pin 12 tn/br

I did not have to add the sales code for the switch since my harness goes directly to each of the pins. Each button applies a ground to the coil side of the relay when applied. Below is how I wired each switch

Aux 1&2 will function with the key off, 3-5 require the key to be on

Here is a couple pictures of how I ran the harness through the firewall by going through the clutch delete plate. It is plastic and easy to drill.
