You can get a SLT with the 44-45 and then option it up

I'm going to trade mine in on a tradesman. I don't want to take a chance of getting stuck or burning up a case that's under warranty for ever.

you're going to trade your not-even-one-yer-old-truck in for a lesser model because of something you read online? That's logical, don't let these fools scare you, why don't you get out and test it yourself?

It's still under warranty, why not just run it to see what happens?

so he's not trading in his not-even-one-year-old truck for a worse transfer case?

Wonder how DCT fluid would work in the case better than ATF?

well, i've yet to experience this, but from what I gather, the clutches are disengaging when the user stops spinning tires, so when they do it repeatedly, it heats up. I don't think this is related to the fluid, because it requires a special type from mopar.

I'm more curious as to how many times the user is having to constantly let up and back on. I'd LOVE to see a video from start to finish of what you guys are doing to heat up the cases.

Ok as promised, my feedback.

Sorry it is ultra lame, I did not even turn on 4WD. The truck ran out of my neighborhood and back in 2WD. No extra weight in the bed.

DCT fluid is more designed to protect things when heating up. Have to try it out next time.

My opinion on the matter... as if anyone cares.

4WD Auto is perfect for almost everyone who buys a truck for "normal" everyday use.

For those that need "true lockers" trucks have them and those that need them buy them.

Lockers and this issue are two completely different things.

Not really, the transfer case is the best ever created, you should be so lucky it even exists.

Fair enough... but semantics are semantics and you know exactly what I meant, because that is what this thread and all others turn into.

Do you want normal everyday-ish AWD or locking diffs.

For the record I am more than happy with the 44-44.

millions of people are happy with the 44-44, there are about 50 of them nation wide that cry about it. Carry on with your amazing transfer case.
