tis guy seems to like additives I did not see if he tested/used ''motorkote''...truckers swear by it.
I wanna see him test slick 50. All this talk about what oil to or not to use could all be put to rest, don't use any oil, just put slick50 in you're crankcase and you're good to go.

Additives might be okay if you are trying to address a certain issue but I think for the most part they are snake oil unless part of the original oil formula.

I will say this, even with a snake oil additive,,,,changing oil at regular intervals is by far th best thing you can do for your vehicle....not just the motor, pumpkins, tranny, hell all the fluids brake lines......power steering........all of it should be replaced....I have yet to do my power steering res....any ideas??

Power steering is ATF+4 so I did mine when I did the tranny drain and fill. There is a two lines running below it I disconnected the one side and drained it. Seemed to work pretty well.

I agree with the best thing one can do is change ALL fluids regularly to include the ones most don't think about .

I use high quality lubricants that can go further than the manufacturer's recommendations , but I still change them at normal or even below normal intervals , I've received criticism from folks here and abroad for doing so ,BUT just knowing I have good clean oils & such makes me feel better [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]
